NOTE – if the forecast temperature at 1pm the day of the ride is less than 45 degrees, the ride will be cancelled. Please sign up for the ride no later than 9am the day of the ride. If nobody has signed up by then I will cancel the ride. Major general Lansing Beach is the namesake for Beach Drive. He was with the US Army Corps of Engineers and instrumental in making Rock Creek Park what it is today. Most of the ride is on Beach Drive in Maryland and DC. There several points on the ride where we will make U-turns since you cannot make a loop with Beach Dr. You can find the Ride with GPS link button in the address line at the top of the ride posting.
