About this event
Another Brent-conjured route with mixed surfaces on rolling terrain along Both Sides of the Shenandoah River. Because the route is about 37% unpaved, with a couple of short steep climbs & descents, gravel or cyclocross tires are strongly recommended for comfort and safety. This is intended to be a casual ride to enjoy the lovely views along the Shenandoah River. Ride starts at Shenandoah Univ River Campus at Cool Spring Battlefield, 1400 Parker Ln, Bluemont, VA 20135. (Right turn from rt 7 onto F709 at bottom of descent, before crossing the bridge.) There are porta-loos in the parking area, Rest stop at the only store on route, Jim’s Country store, mile 40, so bring plenty of food and drink to last. We’ll also make brief regrouping stops.
