About this event
This route goes near the base of Old Rag Mtn. It seeks mostly seldom used, low traffic roads. It’s like Rudi’s Oct 19 ride, but skips the diversions into the hollows, with possibly one exception. The basie route is 60 miles, with the option to ride up & down Weakley Hollow for an extra 7 miles. Rest stop at Syria, mile 29.2, and another stop at Etlan, mile 41.6, for those who ride the option. This is a moderately hilly route so i would like to keep a casual pace and enjoy the scenery. The views of the mountains should offer some fall color. Ride starts at Culpeper County High School, 14240 Achievement Dr, Culpeper, VA 22701. No restrooms at the ride start so go PP before you get to the school.
