The popular, all-inclusive Lewes, Delaware weekend returns April 24-26,2026. For over 30 years the Beacon Inn has welcomed Potomac Pedalers to this coastal town. This event takes place regardless of the weather. Be ready to ride, shop, eat, walk, stroll, and socialize. Registration is online only via the PPTC website.
Rides range in length from 10 to 65+ miles and are flat, although there are usually headwinds at the beach. Many rides visit nearby wildlife refuges, Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, and remote beaches. Some rides stay east of Route 1 and tour Lewes or travel to Rehoboth Beach via bike paths. Some rides begin at the Beacon Inn and others have a remote start after a short drive to parking areas off of Route 1.
Note that this is a member-only event, but prospective members may sign up within a month of the event for a one-month free trial membership on the PPTC website and then register for the Lewes event.
Prices inclusive of lodging are:
•$365 for single occupancy
•$520 for doubles ($260 each)
The prices are the same for non-cycling spouses or guests. Hotel rooms have two double beds, or two queen beds, or a king bed. All have refrigerators; microwaves in the lobby and in common areas on each floor. The Beacon Inn does not allow pets or smoking.
Registration for people who do not need lodging, with two options:
•No lodging, food only rate is $100 per person
•Hardcopy cue sheets only are $15/packet
The all-inclusive price includes the following:
•Two nights at Beacon Inn located two blocks from the center of town and .4 mile from the beach.
•Locked storage room for bikes or keep in your car.
•Cue sheets are available at PPTC’s RideWithGPS account under the event tab at “PPTC Lewes Weekend” and under the collections tab at “Lewes.” Hardcopy cues will also be available at the Beacon Inn starting Friday at noon.
•Ride routes of various lengths available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Please volunteer to lead!
•Ice Cream Social/Welcome Party Friday night at the Inn. Weekend schedule and rides briefed.
•Continental Breakfast Saturday and Sunday morning at the inn.
•Lunch fixings for a bag-lunch on Saturday to take with you on the ride.
•BYO Wine and Beer Happy Hour on Saturday at the motel before dinner. Various snack trays provided.
•Dinner at Wheelhouse Restaurant at Fisherman’s Wharf - many entree choices.

• Free late checkout on Sunday with advance notice to front desk.
The Event will be held regardless of the weather.
