HARVEST HUNDRED

Join us on September 21st for our marquee fall event: the Harvest Hundred!  Riders will have a choice of three routes that wind through the quiet rural roads in Virginia’s Piedmont region, filled with rolling hills, horse farms, and pastureland. Whether this will be your first time riding in this region or the twentieth, you’ll be wowed by its beauty, and you’ll appreciate the event amenities and support for riders. Come with some friends (but not ones that procrastinate -- registration is limited to 500 riders) or make friends on the ride. Scholarships are available for a limited number of first-time century riders for whom registration presents a barrier to participation.

ABOUT THE RIDE

Riders can choose from three routes: a century (100 miles), a metric century (66 miles), and lovely 45-mile spin. Riders will start and end at the beautiful Barrel Oak Winery & Brewery in Delaplane, which will provide an oasis-like destination to relax and celebrate a good day of riding afterward, regardless of the weather. As with previous Pedaler fall rides, this ride will be supported, with fully stocked rest stops, a SAG wagon, and a mechanic bike repair/bike check stations along the way. Registration includes an after-ride party with great food and some special surprise give-aways. Riders will depart in waves according to their anticipated ride speed. So even riders who come to the event by themselves will have others to ride with. At a Potomac Pedalers’ event, you don’t have to ride alone.

"I have gained amazing friends, met inspiring people as PPTC opened me with welcome arms almost a decade ago. The big events that PPTC put on each year are capstone rides that truly encapsulate the intersection of our love of cycling with the greater DMV community."
