WEATHER WARNING: As of 4/6, weather forecast is for chilly and cloudy. But since 3 or 4 hearty souls promise they'll show up, the ride leader will, too. But watch this website. If weather further deteriorates, ride may still be cancelled. If that happens, all people who signed up will be notified. I'll make a final decision by 7 a.m. the day of the ride. If you don't hear anything, it's a go!

This ride is being posted with both Oxon Hill and PPTC. It's well wo Boyce, VA. Worth the 80 minute drive from 495 and I-66.

It's also multi-class. Faster riders can sign up for the slightly longer version led by Mike McCarley. It's listed separately on the calendar.

This is a wonderful, not too hilly route and hopefully the beautiful apple blossoms will show.

Ride start is at thePowatan School - a new start location with ample parking. Park in Athletic Parking, at the left end of the school.

Clarification for CC riders: Please think of me as a ride "facilitator", rather than a "leader." Unlike some CC rides, we will not go at the pace of the slowest rider. I'll ride at an average of 12 mph and may not stop at every turn to let slower riders catch up.

There are just two opportunities for a store and restrooms on this route. The first is in Stephens City, around Mile 21. I'll stop at the Sheetz. About 10 miles further on, there is a 7-11 and a few fast food restaurants in Middletown.
